Get jiggly in my new column
I’ve got a new column out on hitting the jell-o phase as a family. Thank goodness, we’re jiggly. I hope you are too.

This, in my opinion, is your best newsletter yet. I can relate to the feelings of dread when his children are “due to arrive” only in my case it’s one child, a 7 year old girl, and the visitation is EVERY weekend. It’s a complete disruption of our lives. My husband’s personality changes, my 8 year old son’s personality changes, and I change too. I completely understood when you were discussing the need to leave and cry. I’ve done the same thing. It’s nice to know I’m not the only one. Things have smoothed out somewhat, we are at 2.5 years, and it’s reassuring to know that there are rewards for sticking it out and trying to make it work. Thanks so much for the reassurance.

Hi Dawn: OMG, I needed that one. Our blended family consists of 4 girls, ages 12, 13-year old twins, and a 14 year old. They all live with my husband and I. His girls hardly ever go with Mom these days which is sad but could I use a break once in a while!!! You can only imagine what a hormonal war zone my house is right now. I too have gone out for a gallon of milk (when there are two in the fridge) and come home with puffy eyes. I usually hide around the corner, my neighbors must think I am nuts.
Thanks for sharing and HAPPY STEPMOTHERS DAY!
